Their debut album came out in 1986, and the single "A 4km" became a hit. Yoshimura's lyrics and the band's feminist stance drew attention in conservative Japanese society at the time.
Their music mixed rock, pop, and folk elements, with later albums like "Electric Girl" and "Desire" adding electronic touches. Songs like "100 Caras Una Muerte" and "Afecto" show their range from driving rhythms to more introspective material.
They released several albums through the 1990s and early 2000s, including "New World," "Luna," and "Hybrid." A compilation called "Candy 66: The Complete Collection" came out in 2006.
