Candy Mafia came out of the early 2000s underground with a sound that mixed hip-hop and electronic elements. Their track "Mafia" got attention for its hypnotic quality, and they followed it with songs like "Alzheimer" and "Automatic." The group included DMX on vocals, Sixx handling production, and Roc writing lyrics.
They put out their self-titled debut in 2003, then released "The Syndicate" in 2005 and "The Godfather" in 2008. Their lyrics often touched on crime and social issues, which brought them both fans and criticism. The band stopped working together in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
