Candy66

Candy66 formed in Bogotá in the early 2010s. Their sound pulls from industrial electronics and Latin American folk, though they've never fit neatly into any one scene. The band includes Felipe Torres on vocals and guitar, Carolina Muñoz on vocals and keyboard, Juan Camilo Pérez on bass, and Juan David Lozano on drums.

In 2015, they released the song "100 Caras Una Muerte," which became their most recognizable track. Its lyrics touch on identity and mortality, and it found listeners who appreciated its darker, less conventional approach. Other songs like "Afecto" and "Bifasico" show the same mix of electronic textures and raw vocal delivery.

They've put out albums like "Carne y Acero" in 2014 and "Ruido y Furia" in 2018. Their work has drawn both praise and criticism for tackling subjects like violence and mental illness, but they've kept making music on their own terms. They've collaborated with artists including Manu Chao and Bomba Estéreo.
