Cangrejos

Cangrejos came together in Mexico City around the early 2000s. Their first album, 'Dispárame,' came out in 2003, and the title track became their most recognizable song. They followed it with records like 'Sangre' in 2005 and 'Revolución' in 2007.

Alejandro Lora sang and played guitar, Armando Manzanero handled bass, and Carlos Tornel was on drums. Their music pulled from rock and pop, with straightforward melodies and vocals that leaned into feeling. Another track people remember is 'La Bala..da.'

They put out a few more albums into the 2010s, including 'El Amor y La Guerra' and 'Vicio.' The band's lyrics sometimes drew attention for being direct, but they mostly kept working on their own terms. Their songs didn't fit neatly into one category, which suited them fine.
