Canja Rave formed in Recife in 1999, playing progressive metal with a Brazilian sensibility. Their debut album '11 Dias' came out in 2002, and the title track became one of their most recognizable songs. The band's lineup included vocalist André 'Zil' Ribeiro, guitarist Everaldo Silva, bassist Rafael 'Rafa' Teles, and drummer Marco Abreu.
They followed up with albums like 'Noite' in 2005 and 'Aurora' in 2009, continuing to develop their sound. Other songs like 'Aqui Agora' and 'Namoro e Sumo' show their range within the progressive metal framework. The band took a hiatus in 2015 but later reunited.
