Romero Santos first came to attention as the lead singer of Aventura, a bachata group he formed with his cousins in the late 1990s. The group had hits like "Obsesión" and helped bring the Dominican genre to a wider audience. After Aventura stopped performing together around 2011, Santos started releasing music on his own.
His solo work includes the 2014 album "Formula, Vol. 1" and the song "Um Milagre," a ballad about praying for a loved one. He has continued to record and release albums since then, including "Golden" in 2015 and "Utopia" in 2019.
