Cantora Sandra is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Rio de Janeiro who became known in the early 1980s. Her debut album 'Sandra' came out in 1983 and included the children's song 'Uni Duni Te,' which became widely popular. She had earlier sung with the children's choir Coral Infantil do Teatro Municipal.
Her music includes songs like 'Por Favor Volte Correndo,' 'Muralhas da adolescência,' and 'Pingo de Chuva.' She has worked with pianist Celso de Almeida and recorded albums such as 'Cantora Sandra e Coral das Crianças' in 1984 and 'Gospel Verdadeiro' in 2005.
In 1986, she was in a serious car accident but recovered and kept making music. Her songs have been translated into other languages and performed in various countries.
