Cantora Sheila is a Brazilian gospel singer from the Vila Prudente neighborhood in São Paulo. She started singing in local church choirs, drawing from traditional Brazilian rhythms and gospel melodies. Her debut album 'Meu Milagre' came out in 2005 and included the song 'Herdeiro de Deus,' which became widely known.
Sheila was in a traffic accident in 2009 that caused serious injuries. She returned to performing and released the album 'Milagres Acontecem' the following year. In 2012, there were accusations that part of 'Herdeiro de Deus' was plagiarized from another artist, though these were eventually dismissed.
Other songs like 'Ele Vive Em Mim' and 'Quem Era Eu' appear in her catalog. She has worked with musicians including guitarist Marcelo Rodrigues.
