Capitão do Piseiro is a Brazilian forró band that formed in 2015 in Campina Grande. The group centers on two musicians: Júnior Gomes handles vocals and songwriting, while Sael Fernandes plays guitar. They started building a local audience before their 2018 single 'Prova Viva' caught on more widely.
Their debut album 'Vem Pro Piseiro' came out that same year, followed by 'Tô Sempre Aqui' in 2019, 'É Tudo Nosso' in 2020, and 'Caçulinha do Brasil' in 2021. Other songs like 'Botadão' and 'Saudade da Infância' have also become part of their set. The band has faced some public disputes, including plagiarism accusations around a track called 'Mete o Peito e Vem' in 2019, which they denied.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
