Capolla formed in Belo Horizonte in the early 2000s with Pedro Sá on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Gorky on guitar, Marcelo Camelo on bass, and André Mehmari on drums. Their debut album came out in 2002, followed by 'Foi no Momento que eu Vi o Céu' in 2004.
Their 2008 album 'Retroprojetor' included the title track that became one of their best-known songs. They've also recorded tracks like 'Aonde Você Deve Estar' and 'Beira da Estrada'.
Capolla released 'Máquina de Escrever' in 2011, a live acoustic album in 2016, and 'Capolla 4' in 2020. Their lyrics sometimes drew attention for addressing social themes.
