Capranós formed in Belo Horizonte in 2013, with vocalist Rodrigo Tavares and guitarist João Suplicy coming together after their previous band, Velotrol, ended. They started by putting out a debut EP called 'Tudo Vai Passar' the following year.
Their song 'Teu Jeito' caught on quickly and became their most recognizable track. It helped them reach a wider audience in Brazil, though some listeners and critics found their approach to pop music straightforward or familiar.
They've released a few albums since then, including a self-titled one in 2016 and 'Pra Curar' in 2019.
