Caprice formed in Los Angeles in 2001 with Jake Sinclair on vocals, Tom Carter on guitar, Jason Reed on bass, and Matt Jenkins on drums. They put out their first album, 'Electric Avenue,' in 2003. The band's sound was straightforward rock built around Sinclair's voice and Carter's guitar work.
In 2006, they released 'Oh Yeah,' which became their biggest song. It had a simple, catchy chorus and an energetic guitar riff that got played a lot on rock radio. The track appeared on their 2005 album 'Sound of My Heart.' They followed it with another album, 'Take Me Away,' in 2008.
Other songs like 'Once around the sun' and 'There Goes Your Heart' showed their range within that rock framework. The band kept playing and recording through the late 2000s.
