Editor's note

Capture The Crown's metalcore reign from Sydney

A Sydney metalcore band that formed in 2010 with members from I Killed the Prom Queen.

For their early sound, 'Ladies And Gentleman. I Give You Hell' still hits. Later tracks like 'Help Me To Help You' show how they kept at it.

They came out of the Sydney scene with a specific sound that connected with metalcore fans in the early 2010s. Their first album 'Reign of Terror' had the track 'Ladies And Gentleman. I Give You Hell' that became a calling card. Even after vocalist Alex Koehler left in 2016, they kept putting out material like 'Manhunt' in 2019.

They formed in 2010 with members from I Killed the Prom Queen. After releasing 'Reign of Terror' in 2011, they went through a vocalist change in 2016 when Jake Harte replaced Alex Koehler. Their catalog includes songs like 'You Call That A Knife? This Is A Knife!' and 'The Departed 2.0.'
