Archive material and source history
Cardia formed in São Paulo in the early 1990s with Adriana Calcanhotto on vocals, Marcelo Camelo on guitar, Rodrigo Barba on bass, and Fred Teixeira on drums. Their first album, "Tão Distante," came out in 1993. They followed it with "A Seguir" in 1996 and a self-titled record in 1998.
One of their best-known songs is "O Tempo Passa As Coisas Mudam," which came out in 1996. Other tracks like "Perdão," "Pretérito Imperfeito," and "Terra da Solidão" also show their style. The band broke up in 2001, after which Calcanhotto and Camelo pursued solo work.
