Cardinal Black formed in 2012 with Myles Kennedy on vocals and guitar, Todd Jensen on rhythm guitar, Berry Duane Oakley III on bass, and Jason Sutter on drums. Kennedy was already known from his work with Alter Bridge and Slash. Their debut album 'Cardinal Black' came out the following year, featuring the song 'Tied Up in Blue'.
They released two more albums, 'Passenger' in 2016 and 'Dream So Real' in 2019. The band has toured regularly, playing a style that draws from classic rock and blues.
