Carentin formed in the early 2000s in Carentan, Normandy. The band's sound drew from darkwave and ethereal genres, with Pauline Lofthouse on vocals and keyboards, Damien Allain on guitars and vocals, Jean-Luc Guionnet on bass, and Quentin Lecomte on drums.
The band denied this, saying it was a metaphorical look at lost innocence.
Carentin released an EP called "Ashes to Ashes" in 2008 and an album titled "The Sacred Heart" in 2013. Other songs include "After The Fire," "Cookie Cutter on the Fritz," and "Happy Go Lucky."
