A Lion In The Jungle

The day is open

The night is closing it's doors

And somewhere in the jungle

A lion stretches out and roars

On a dirty street, in a tenement house

A man unwraps himself from a dainty dainty sheet

And he opens his eyes and hates the bright sunrise

Somewhere in the jungle

A man cuts his way through the people and the bush

And the civilized cement

Don't ask me where I am going

But after I'm gone

Glad lady, dear lady, won't you tell'em

Tell'em your boy just went

Take off, lock up the door tonight

Keep the sunshine in

While somewhere in the jungle

I listen to the wild go again

I'm gonna go down south

And ask the boss man for a clean cut sack
