"Piração" connected with listeners in Brazil, particularly younger audiences. The song's rhythms and lyrics about social conditions drew some criticism at the time. The band followed it with albums like 1988's "Subúrbio Rock 'n' Roll" and 1991's "Venturas e Desventuras."
