Carlos Conmor

Carlos Conmor was born in São Paulo in 1954. His music drew from folk melodies and psychedelic rock, though he never quite fit into a single genre.

In 1982, he released "Almas Estelares," a song with a haunting melody and philosophical lyrics about cosmic unity. It became his breakthrough, reaching a national audience and establishing his reputation.

Conmor kept exploring after that, working with electronic instruments and incorporating jazz and classical elements into his sound. His introspective lyrics sometimes drew criticism from traditionalists who found them too esoteric, but he continued on his own path.
