De filiación gauchesca, como toda la poesia de Brancatti, este tango
esta literariamente construido sobre una metafora que asemeja la
contramarca - o segunda marca - del ganado con el hecho de que una
mujer abandone a un hombre por otro y pretenda luego retornar junto al
primero. Fue registrado por Carlos Gardel, con acompañamiento de
guitarras (3/30); posteriormente lo grabo Jorge Duran, con la orquesta
Florio-Duran (1959). Lo grabaron también Julio Sosa, Roberto
Goyeneche, Luis Felipelli, Juan Carlos Godoy, entre otros.
