His music sometimes drew attention for addressing social issues and environmental concerns, which wasn't always common in Brazilian gospel circles at the time. He worked with musicians including Reuel Ramos on drums and Fábio Torres on guitar, and collaborated with other artists like Aline Barros and Adhemar de Campos.
Sider released albums such as 'Brilho do Sol' in 1983 and 'Deus Está Aqui' in 2002. He also founded the Instituto Carlos Sider, an organization focused on music education and supporting emerging Christian artists. He died in 2010.
