Carmen Electra was a pop band that formed in the early 2000s, not to be confused with the actress of the same name. They released their debut single "All That" in 2003, a dance-pop track that got some radio play and landed on their self-titled debut album that same year. The album also included "Everybody Get On Up" and "Go Go Dance."
Their lineup included Carmen Electra on vocals, Rob Patterson on guitar, Joe Clarke on bass, Tony LoCicero on drums, and Charles Marshall on keyboards. They put out a second album called "Electra City" in 2004, which had a slightly different sound from the first one. Songs like "Fantasia Erotica" and "Fun" appeared on their records.
The band drew some criticism for lyrics and imagery that some found provocative, though the specifics of those debates have faded. They stopped working together around 2006. Their music occasionally surfaces in playlists or gets mentioned as an example of that particular early-2000s pop-dance sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
