She released her debut album in the mid-1990s, taking its title from the song 'Não Deixe o Samba Morrer.' That track became something of an anthem, a straightforward statement about keeping the tradition alive.

Her later albums included 'Amanhã Vai Ser Outro Dia,' 'Samba Pra Gente,' and 'Samba Sem Fronteiras,' which brought in musicians from Cuba, Senegal, and the United States. She worked as a woman in what was often a male-dominated scene, which meant navigating certain expectations while staying focused on the music itself.
