Carrara took their name from the marble quarries of their Italian hometown. In the early 2000s, the band included vocalist Alessandro Baroni, guitarist Antonio Cozzolino, and drummer Danilo Seclì. Their debut single "Shine On Dance" became an immediate hit, with its driving beat and soaring vocals connecting with listeners.
Cohesion proved difficult to maintain. Cozzolino left the band in 2006, replaced by Giancarlo Ippolito. Baroni's 2008 arrest for drug possession created further turbulence. Through these disruptions, the group continued recording, releasing albums like "The Adversary" and "Gold" that showed a shift toward darker, more introspective material while keeping some of their earlier energy.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
