Casper, born Benjamin Griffey in Bielefeld in 1982, started out with the group Kinderzimmer Productions. Their 2006 album 'Hin zur Sonne' gave an early glimpse of his style. He went solo with 'XOXO' in 2009, and the track 'Auf Und Davon' from that album caught on as something of an anthem.
His 2015 album 'Hinterland' stirred some debate for its subject matter, but it also drew serious critical attention. He's kept putting out records since, like 'Lang Lebe Der Tod' in 2017 and 'Zwielicht' in 2021. You can hear his approach in later tracks too, like the collaboration 'Keine Angst' with Drangsal or 'Denk an dich' with Kat Frankie.
