Cast formed in Liverpool in 1992 with John Power on vocals and rhythm guitar, Liam Tyson on lead guitar, Peter Wilkinson on bass, and Keith O'Neill on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1995 and included the single 'Walkaway,' which reached number three on the UK Singles Chart. A second album, 'Mother Nature Calls,' followed not long after.
Their songs like 'Alright' and 'All Bright' had a straightforward rock sound with melodic hooks, drawing from British guitar bands before them. They put out more records through the late 1990s and early 2000s, including 'Magic Hour' in 1997 and 'Beetroot' in 2001, before splitting up in 2001. The band got back together in 2010 to play shows again.
