Catuí, Catuê e Celinho were a Brazilian trio who recorded in the 1970s. Their song "A Moça do Supermercado" from 1975 became their signature track, telling the story of a supermarket cashier. They released a self-titled debut album in 1976 and followed it with "Tempo de Sonhar" in 1977.
Their music mixed samba with bossa nova and soul influences. Other songs like "Duas Bandeiras" and "A Volta da Gaiova" show their range within that style. They put out a live album in 1978 that captured their stage work.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
