CCTV

CCTV is an experimental electro-industrial project founded by Jak Unger, who handles vocals and songwriting. They work with Sean Dinsmore on keyboards and programming, and Tom Alpin on drums and sound design. Their music tends toward distorted electronics and unsettling atmospheres, with songs like "Paranoia" from their 2004 album of the same name.

They released several albums between 2004 and 2019, including "Transponder" in 2007, "Echoes of Entropy" in 2010, "Machine Dream" in 2015, and "Binary Order" in 2019. Their sound has shifted at times, incorporating elements of techno and ambient music on some records while returning to heavier industrial textures on others.

In 2010, the band faced criticism for using a sample from a video recording of a real murder. They defended the choice as an attempt to address violence and its societal impact, though some listeners found it sensationalistic. Their work has generally been described as challenging and intense, which has limited its appeal to a narrower audience.
