I never dreamed that one day eventually, yeah I'd be paid off that

My whole fam, we self made in fact,

I gotta laugh, I look back and I see a white kid from the 'burbs

Knew I'd made a mark and in the end I did it with words

And I always was feeling music more than most cats around me

I'm here, I'm still doing it, my destiny found me

I dabbled a little bit, spittin', djing and graf

But breakin' just ain't for me coz shit, I still can't dance

And I'll never forget the rush when I penned my first rhyme down

Ten years on and I'm buzzin' like it was right now

Man it wasn't easy just meeting some like minded dudes

I met a few, we clicked and made it happen

With a scene that's so small, I'm hella proud we even got it crackin'

Until then, the dinero, it never mattered

When the chips and politics reared it's grill, my dreams shattered

I'm still rappin', but jetted to get a fresh perspective

Now fully independent with bekah bringin' the next shit

And I can count my real fam on one hand

So my dream been reborn and I'mma do it for them

My head high, and I be walking the path that fate has paved for me
