Erasers on Pencils

I wrote a "D" when I meant a "B"

Now I'm stuck with the "D"

I tried to think my thoughts with "D"

But it doesn't come out like me

How come I do this everytime?

I s'pose it's prob'ly not a crime

That don't stop it drivin' me outta my mind

I introduced my friend to Bruce

But I called him "Brent"

In these many days and nights

How come I do this everytime?
