Celia Cruz's voice carried Cuban music far beyond its island roots. Songs like "Quizás, Quizás, Quizás" became standards, and her 1977 track "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" turned into an anthem. She recorded over 75 albums, working with Tito Puente and Willie Colón along the way.
She joined Sonora Matancera in 1950, which brought her voice to wider audiences. Later recordings included collaborations across Latin music, and she kept performing until her death in 2003.
