Celso Iuck was born in São Paulo in 1968. He started playing music seriously around age 15, drawn to American blues artists like B.B. King and Eric Clapton alongside the Brazilian sounds he grew up with. In 1992, he formed a band with Edú Ribeiro on bass, Fábio D'Oleo on drums, and Gustavo Amarante on keyboards.
Their debut album 'Buracos na Cabeça' came out in 1995 and found an audience quickly. The single 'A Fila Tem Que Andar' became particularly well-known, capturing a certain mood in Brazil at the time. The band's sound mixed Brazilian rhythms with blues guitar and lyrics that often dealt with personal and social themes.
Iuck's career has included some public difficulties. He continued releasing albums like 'O Beijo da Cobra' in 2002 and 'Bluest' in 2015 with the same core band members.
