Celso Pedrini came up in Porto Alegre, Brazil, playing guitar with a mix of rock and blues influences. He formed his first band, Os Vips, in the mid-1970s. His debut album 'Pedrini' arrived in 1984, followed by 'Pedrini II' the next year. The title track from that second album, 'Estou Indo Embora,' became one of his best-known songs.
Other tracks like 'Pra Decifrar Esse Enigma' and 'Abismo Intransponível' show his style of writing. In 1999, he recorded an acoustic session for MTV that included a cover of a song by Ultraje a Rigor, which drew some attention at the time. He kept making music that touched on social and political themes.
