Celso Texeira

Teixeira's work has always been tied to that specific moment in Rio's funk scene, where the sound was becoming a voice for parts of the city that mainstream media usually ignored. He never really shifted toward a more polished or crossover approach, which kept his music grounded in the same communities that first responded to it.
