Cero Sentidos formed in Madrid in 1989, with Alejandro Nieto on vocals and guitar, Carlos Serrano on bass, and Ricardo Villalobos on drums. They worked in a post-punk and alternative rock space, pulling in some industrial and electronic textures along the way. Their first album, "Más Allá del Bien y del Mal," came out in 1991, followed by "La Caída de Babilonia" in 1993.
Their songs often dealt with alienation and the search for meaning, delivered with a confrontational energy on stage. One of their better-known tracks, "Intentando Seguir," is a slower, more introspective piece about trying to hold relationships together. They also put out songs like "Malgasto Mi Tiempo" and "Punx Crew."
The band developed a reputation for being difficult to categorize and for pushing against musical conventions.
