Cesar Veiga

Cesar Veiga is a singer-songwriter from Havana, Cuba. His music draws from the rhythms of Afro-Cuban traditions, with influences like Benny Moré and Compay Segundo shaping his approach. He started writing songs early, and his debut album 'A Girl With Beautiful Eyes' came out in 1988. That title track became his most recognizable song, though he's also written pieces like 'A Vida' and 'I Don't See Love In Your Eyes'.

In the early 1990s, Veiga faced plagiarism accusations that complicated his career. He continued releasing albums through the decade, including 'El Milagro' in 1993 and 'Contradicción' in 1996. His work often explores themes of love and loss, with later albums like 'Alma Mía' appearing in 2006.
