Archive material and source history
Cesone was an Italian group that formed in the early 1990s with Corrado Nuzzo on vocals and guitar, Fabio Abate on drums, and Antonino Formicola on bass. Their debut album in 1992 included the track "RAMPAPAM," which became their signature song. They released a few more albums through the mid-1990s before disbanding in 1997.
"RAMPAPAM" caught on as a dance track in Italy and elsewhere in Europe, though its melody drew some accusations of resembling a traditional Spanish folk song. The group defended their authorship, and the song stuck around as a summer favorite in Italy. They put out a compilation of popular songs in 1995 and a final album in 1997.
