Chanel Novas formed in Havana, Cuba in 1998. The band's core members include singer-songwriter Yamila Diaz, known as "Chalí," and producer Dennis Niebla. Their music blends traditional Cuban rhythms with contemporary pop and electronic elements.
Their 2021 album "Reverdecerás" featured a collaboration with fellow Cuban artist Nimsy Lopez and included songs like "Sigues Amándome" and "El Calvario a Tu Favor." Earlier releases include "Elemental" from 2018 and "Contemplación" from 2015.
Some of their lyrics have addressed social and political themes, which has drawn occasional criticism. Their catalog includes tracks like "Me Multiplicaré," "Regresa," and "De La Tierra Del Olvido."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
