Charles e Pierre are a Brazilian duo from Rio de Janeiro, made up of Charles (Carlos Eduardo Baptista) and Pierre (Pedro Henrique). They started playing music together in the early 2000s, working their way up from small local venues.
In 2008, they released "A Cola Na Coxa Dela," a song that became wildly popular across Brazil. Its catchy melody and playful, suggestive lyrics about female anatomy made it both a party favorite and a subject of debate. Some critics called it vulgar, while others saw it as harmless fun.
They followed that up with other songs like "Abelha Malvada" and "Anjo da Noite," and put out albums including "Só As Cachorras" in 2009 and "O Que Quebra Te Esculacha" in 2011. Their music tends to be upbeat, with straightforward rhythms and lyrics that don't take themselves too seriously.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
