Charlotte Jane formed in London in the late 1990s with vocalist Charlotte Donegan, guitarist Jeremy Stacey, bassist Marc Hamilton, and drummer Sebastien Edwards. Their debut album "All My Life" came out in 2001, and the title track became their most recognizable song. The band took a break around 2003 but returned in 2007 with a second album called "Shadows."
They put out a third album, "Paper Dolls," in 2012. Their work includes the songs "Reassure Me (feat. Jordan Mackampa)" and "Somebody To Hold." Donegan's voice, which could shift from quiet to powerful, was a consistent element across their recordings.
After their initial run, the group's music, particularly "All My Life," kept finding listeners at various personal occasions. The core lineup of Donegan, Stacey, Hamilton, and Edwards stayed together through their studio releases.
