Charles Lownoise and Theo Nabuurs started working together in 1991. They put out a few singles like "Live on Mars" and "The Sound of C." that got some attention in the dance scene. Their debut album came out in 1995, called "Wonderful Days," and the title track became a big hit.
In 1996, Mental Theo was in a serious car accident that caused major injuries. The duo had to stop touring and recording for a while. Around that same time, they also faced some public accusations about drug use, which didn't help their standing.
They kept making music after that, with songs like "Fantasy World" and "Hardcore Feelings" appearing in their catalog. But the momentum from those early years was hard to recapture.
