Pain pulled you back to a place words couldn’t describe, that I couldn’t see in your eyes

Fitful feverish slumbers wrenched up things I wanted to forget

It’s hard to confess how much I loved being a stranger in that place

Telling made up stories, fitting a different person to my face

And I hate how much my mouth just talks sometimes
