Chuy Lizarraga

Chuy Lizarraga formed his first band, Los Titanes de Sinaloa, when he was 15. They released their debut album 'La Raza Primero' in 2006, which included the singles 'La Raza Primero' and 'No Te Hagas.' That album helped push the band from regional recognition in Sinaloa to a national audience.

His music often gets called banda romántica, mixing traditional Banda Sinaloense with more contemporary sounds. Songs like 'Partido En Dos' and 'Como Un Perro' show his style, with straightforward lyrics about love and personal experience delivered in a clear, emotive vocal. The band's lineup has included several family members, with Lizarraga on vocals alongside relatives playing tuba, trombone, trumpet, drums, and bass.

They've put out more than a dozen albums since that first one, including 'Conquistando Corazones,' 'Un Millón de Gracias,' and 'Por Siempre Tuyo.' In 2010, the band faced some public scrutiny over drug trafficking allegations, which Lizarraga denied. He has also worked with other artists in the genre like Julión Álvarez and Espinoza Paz.
