CHVSE formed in Los Angeles in 2015 around Joey Belladonna, Nick Walsh, and Chris Hauser. They put out a debut EP called 'Collide' that year, playing shows that built them a local following. Their sound pulled from grunge and indie rock, but kept things accessible.
In 2018, the single 'Blackout' broke through on alternative radio. The song's driving rhythm and introspective lyrics connected with listeners, pushing the band beyond their hometown scene. Around that time, they also released 'I'm Sorry G'.
They returned in 2021 with an album called 'Resurgence' that addressed themes of mental health and moving forward. The record felt more mature than their earlier work.
