Their 1994 debut album "Hip Hop" gave them their breakthrough, with the title track becoming an anthem. Songs like "Juventude É Atitude." and "Viva Sua Vida." carried their mix of rap, funk, and samba rhythms. This sound connected with listeners and marked them as early figures in Brazil's hip hop scene.
They kept releasing albums through the 1990s and 2000s, including "Sobrevivendo no Inferno" in 1997 and "Mano a Mano" in 2003. At one point they were involved in protests against television censorship.
The group worked with other Brazilian artists like Chico Science and Seu Jorge. Their music helped shape what Brazilian hip hop could sound like, blending local rhythms with rap's directness.
