Archive material and source history
Cidade Virtual is a Brazilian electronic music group formed by brothers Múcio, Thiago, and Renato Ribeiro. They started working together in the early 2000s in Salvador, Bahia, mixing electronic production with rhythms from their region.
Their 2007 debut album 'Respirar' included the track 'Resbolar,' which became popular in Brazil and beyond. The song's combination of electronic beats and Bahian elements gave the group wider recognition.
After that first album, they released several others including 'Caminhos Cruzados' in 2010, 'Acústico' in 2012, and 'Dançar para Não Cair' in 2015. These records continued their approach of blending electronic dance music with Brazilian sounds.
