Cine Flórida formed in 2009 in Caraguatatuba, a coastal town in São Paulo. The band's early lineup included Marina Machado on vocals, Marcelo Camelo on guitar, and Fernando Almeida on percussion. Their debut album "Sonhando Colorido" came out in 2012.
In 2014, the song "Deixa Disso!" became a radio hit for the band. Other tracks like "Descompasso" and "Nina" show their mix of bossa nova, indie rock, and Brazilian folk elements. Machado's vocals anchor their sound.
Camelo left the band in 2017. The current lineup includes Machado, Almeida, and bassist Lucas Vasco.
