Cinematic Pop

Cinematic Pop formed in 2003, a group that took its name from the cinematic quality it aimed for in its music. Their sound mixed classical, pop, and electronic elements, with ethereal vocals that became a recognizable feature. In 2005, they released their debut album, which included the track "Everybody Wants To Rule The World." That song found an audience and helped establish them.

After some years of activity, the band went on hiatus around 2010. They reunited in 2015 and put out a third album. Another of their songs, "Sail," appears among their recorded work. Their lyrics sometimes addressed social themes, which drew mixed reactions from listeners and critics over time.
