Cinephile

Cinephile formed in London around a shared interest in music and film. Frontman Ethan Rose wrote lyrics inspired by cinema's ability to capture human experience, working with guitarist Oliver Black, bassist Jake Carter, and drummer Samuel Hunt. Their early years involved steady live performances while developing their sound.

Their debut album 'Nocturnal' came out in 2014, followed by 'Somnambulist.' The song 'Comatose' became one of their better-known tracks, with its bittersweet mood and introspective feel. Another song, 'What Become Of Us?', shows their tendency toward questioning, emotionally direct material.

Some critics found their work too melancholic, while others appreciated its vulnerability. The band kept writing and recording without much adjustment to outside opinions, staying with their own approach to mood and atmosphere.
