Cinerama formed in Liverpool in 1985 with David Ferguson on vocals, John McCullough on guitar, Martin Hartley on bass, and George Henry on drums. Their debut album 'Persuasion' came out that same year. Ferguson's falsetto and McCullough's guitar work gave them a recognizable sound in the UK's alternative scene.
They put out two more albums, 'Whisper' in 1989 and 'Discography' in 1991, before McCullough left the band in 1989. Other songs like '146 Degrees' and '7X' show their range across those records.
They were active for about six years, releasing four studio albums total.
